Bacterial vaginitis simply means inflammation of the vagina. The three main causes of bacterial vaginitis are bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, and yeast infection
Most of the women suffered from the problem of Bacterial Vaginosis once in a life. It is abbreviated as BV.It is an inflammation which occurs in the vagina when there is an overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria and an organism called Gardnerella. its symptoms include an unpleasant, fishy odor as well as itching, burning and maybe even a green or yellow discharge.The discharge is usually thin and grayish white and is often more noticeable after sexual intercourse.
The exact cause of Bacterial Vaginosis is not yet known however its general causes are having a new sex partner or multiple sex partners .Using an intrauterine device (IUD) for birth control. Not using a condom etc.
Use of feminine deodorant, heavily perfumed products etc also be the culprits in triggering Bacterial Vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is a fairly simple condition to diagnose and treat.There are ways to get rid of bacterial vaginosis and to never have it again
